Plenary - Improving development effectiveness and efficiency of aid

On November 23, the European Parliament will hold a discussion during its Plenary session on a DEVE Committee Report to improve development effectiveness and the efficiency of aid. The Report stresses that  the EU should take the lead in using the principles of aid effectiveness and aid efficiency, in order to secure real impact and the achievement of the SDGs, while leaving no-one behind, in its partner countries. The Report also calls for the implementation of policy objectives from the new European Consensus on Development and on the Commission to produce at least biannually an aid effectiveness progress report.
